SS Officer Admits Signing Extermination Order

For 65 years Bernhard Frank hid chilling past, including signing first order instructing Jewish genocide and close ties with Hitler, Himmler. Personal interviews with US Jew disguised as Neo-Nazi reveal dark secrets leading to upcoming lawsuit.

But for the past 65 years since the end of World War II, Dr. Bernhard Frank managed to hide his direct involvement with the Jewish genocide, walking around freely in Germany and never being prosecuted for his actions.

Now, at the age of 97, he is being exposed for the first time by an American Jew who pretended to be a neo-Nazi.

In the upcoming days a lawsuit is expected to be filed in the United States against Frank, the most senior Nazi criminal still alive today. The suit, which will probably also call for his extradition, will be filed on behalf of US citizens whose families were murdered during WWII as part of the cruel order signed by Frank. The suit claims he is responsible for genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity.

One of the prosecutors, a young 43-year-old American Jew by the name of Mark Gould, was actually the one who managed to expose Frank's past. In a special Yedioth Ahronoth interview Gould talks about how he was able to connect the puzzle pieces and uncover the chilling past of an old Nazi criminal.

Secrets Uncovered
Gould took advantage of his Aryan looks – tall, blond hair, blue eyes – in order to get close to the Nazi officer. He impersonated a neo-Nazi and met with Frank over the years, interviewing him for long hours at a time, sometimes documenting the meeting on video. This material is likely to serve as legal evidence against Frank during the trial.

Over time, the two developed a trusting relationship, and Frank began to confess to Gould about his SS past.

Frank was responsible for the Nazi language code used by the SS to disguise the 'special treatment' given to Jews during the German occupation of USSR territories. He was also one of the senior officers in charge of consolidating and distributing the racist Nazi ideology.

Frank was selected by Himmler to serve in a special commando unit responsible for SS operations in occupied USSR territories in the summer of 1941. As part of his new position, as Himmler's senior assistant, he was personally responsible for signing the July 28 1941 order called "Comando Stadt Order". This was the first actual SS order instructing to kill hundreds of thousands of Jews, including women and children, preceding the Commissar order. It was the first stage of the massive Jewish extermination process.

At the time, Frank was instructed by Himmler to keep an SS war journal, gathering all reports of SS activities, including the Jewish genocide.

Hiter's personal order
In 1943, Frank was appointed head of security at the SS base of Obersalzberg, the beloved mountain residence of Adolf Hitler located in southern Germany.

It was then that Frank was given a personal order by Hitler to kill Hermann Göring, a high ranking Nazi officer who announced his intention to take over the German leadership, due to Russia's closure of Hitler's bunker in Berlin. Frank refused to go through with it, but he did arrest him for treason.

Frank later signed Obersalzberg's surrender letter to the US, hoping he could prevent its complete destruction.

Over the years he wrote books about his service in the SS and gave television interviews, but always made sure to hide any information regarding his SS service under Himmler.

Loved by Himmler
During one of his long interviews with Gould, Frank said he and Himmler had a great relationship and that the latter loved him very much. Frank went on to say that the SS commander was a "good man."

Frank told Gould that when he was young he had Jewish friends, but that the political events at the time forced him to cut ties with them. He claimed that the Jews played a major role in German oppression and "dug their own graves." Frank added that the war was the outcome of decision made by governments, and the Nazis were only fulfilling their duties.

When the relationship between the two grew stronger, Gould confronted Frank with the extermination orders he had signed. After short hesitation, Frank admitted the signature on the documents was, in fact, his, but claimed he had only approved the linguistic content.

"He defended himself, saying the order was necessary, because Jews in those areas were involved in guerilla warfare against Germans," said Gould in an exclusive Yedioth Ahronoth interview. "In retrospect, we are talking about the first act of genocide by the SS. It was before the trains began making their way to extermination camps. It was also the first actual mass murder test run. The command wanted to see if SS soldiers would murder Jewish citizens, including women, children and elders. Frank was responsible for wording the orders in such a way that the troops on location, especially those who had undergone ideological training, could understand what do to. It was written in the spirit of Reinhard Heydrich (a high-ranking SS official, the first to be in charge of the 'Final Solution' operation)."

A rifle by his side
"Frank justified the orders, claiming they were given during the war, when there were a lot of partisan Jews, outlaws and robbers," added Gould. "When asked if the women and children murdered were also partisans and robbers, he shrugged his shoulders and didn't respond. I caught him lying a lot during the interviews. He admitted to some of the lies. Eventually he let me do anything I wanted with the materials. A rifle was by his side during many interviews, so he could have shot me if he wanted to. When I confronted him I feared what he might do to me or to himself. But my impression was that Frank wished to receive recognition for all the things he had done while serving in the SS. He hid it for so many decades. He was very proud of his actions and the fact that I was able to expose what he had done made him appreciate me. He gave me all the material which could convict him, including private journals, love letters and other documents he had written."

Gould arrived at Frank's house in Frankfurt last weekend to personally deliver the lawsuit against him. Frank's spouse attacked Gould and he needed to get medical attention at a nearby hospital.

Talmud - A Pregnant Non-Jew is no Better Than a Pregnant Animal

Being an anti-Semite a few hundred years ago was not easy. Here's the problem: because his own life was miserable and poverty-ridden he needed to blame someone other than himself. This is an ancient and primitive excuse for one's own failures. You didn't plant the right crop this year? Sacrifice a goat to placate the Gods; hence the scapegoat.

But who to blame?
Who was rich, talented, and smart in his city and country? Who held lofty positions of power and glory? Obviously it was the hated Jew.

If it weren't for Jews like Benjamin Disraeli, Mayer Rothschild, Marcel Proust, and Heinrich Heine, who didn't deserve their fame, he could have been Prime Minister, a rich banker, a famous writer, a great poet.

But how does one denigrate a people who are successful, skillful, and educated? Well, the only recourse is to lie, to fabricate evil deeds and intentions. So began blood libels, false accusations that Jews murder children to use their blood in their religious rituals and holidays.

In order to convince other non-Jews that claims such as these are indeed true, the anti-Semites fabricated books and other literature, purported to be written by Jews of plots against non-Jews.

So was created the well-known fabrication The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion, an antisemitic tract purporting to describe a plan to achieve global domination by the Jewish people.

Despite the fact that this lie was discredited as long ago as 1921, the Nazis used it to prove that Jews were a threat to Germany. In the present era, Muslims have taken up the lie to turn non-Jews against Jews and the State of Israel.

But it is getting harder and harder to fool non-Jews with this egregious nonsense because of sites like Snopes and Wikipedia which have debunked most of these fantasies, and so, we see more esoteric and convoluted fabrications being created, the kind not easily found on the Web.

Anti-Semites (including many Muslims) leave links to mostly antisemitic blogs and websites where distortions, fabrications, and deceptions are listed as proof of Jewish perfidy and hatred of non-Jews. One antisemitic site links to another and that to another in a mutual circle-jerk each providing "proof" of this or that lie against Jews.

Many of these lies are spread through emails with subject lines such, "Non-Jews as seen in the Jewish Talmud" or "Jewish Racism towards Non-Jews as expressed in the Talmud."

For example, Eman, an anti-Semite visitor left this comment in response to my article My Atheist Heaven: "A pregnant non-Jew is no better than a pregnant ANIMAL. Talmud: Coschen Hamischpat 405." as "proof" that Jews hate and despise non-Jews.

Let's pretend that it came from the Talmud, a compendium of Jewish Oral Law. Such a statement contradicts a basic tenet of Jewish Law: Genesis 1:26-27; "Then God said, 'Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over...all the creatures...So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them." Genesis does not say, 'Let us make Jews in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over...all the creatures..." There is nothing in all of Judaism where a human being, Jew or not, pregnant or not, is equal to an animal.

But let us actually examine "Talmud: Coschen Hamischpat 405."

First off, it is spelled Choshen Mishpat and it is not part of the Talmud. The spelling this visitor used, "Coschen Hamischpat," is the same as used in the "Der Sturmer"- the official magazine of the Nazi party and lifted from there. Anti-Semites hope that the casual reader will not know these details and actually believe that Jews despise non-Jews.

The Choshen Mishpat has nothing to do with Jewish opinion of non-Jews. It is a compilation of Jewish law pertinent to finance, torts, legal procedure and loans and interest and put together more than a thousand years after the Talmud.

Let's forget about the Nazi spelling - what does Choshen Mishpat 405 really say?:

Coschen hamischpat 405 RESPONSE The above quote is a wrong inference from a fiscal law in Shulchan Oruch, Choshen Mishpat 405.3, that relates to times when slavery was a standard and accepted practice across the world. It states that if an ox gored a pregnant woman, and this resulted in the loss of the fetus, the owner does not have to pay for the loss of the fetus (medical expenses and other damages are discussed elsewhere). If an ox gored a pregnant non-Jewish slave-woman, the owner of the ox has to pay for the loss of the fetus to the owner of the slave-woman (because the owner would have had another slave to work for him had the woman given birth). The same applies if the ox gored a pregnant cow, or a sheep, because had the animal given birth, the owner would have had an extra one. The law is clearly hinged on the rights of the owner, and does not compare non-Jews and animals in any way. It is purely legal, and does not have any philosophical or social implications.

So Eman, the phrase "A pregnant non-Jew is no better than a pregnant ANIMAL" does not appear in the text of either the Talmud or Choshen Mishpat 405, the actual law discussed has nothing to do with Jewish opinions of non-Jews, and it is a lie repeated on Muslim and neo-Nazi websites who themselves lifted it from a Nazi antisemitic magazine.

Anyone who reads the Torah knows that we are all Bnei Adam, sons of Adam, which is the Hebrew for human beings. Gentiles are unquestionably human, created in God's image, and Jewish law recognizes this as do the rabbis of the Talmud. While there are rituals that apply only to those who are part of the organic Jewish nation, with regard to rights such as the purchase of land or to spiritual status, gentiles are included. It is a major Jewish sin to hate anyone, Jew or non-Jew.

* Political cartoons often have more of an immediate impact in reinforcing negative stereotypes about Jews than a lengthy essay. By far the largest output of anti-Semitic cartoons nowadays comes from the Arab and Muslim world. A yet uncharted field of hate cartoons against Jews is that in progressive blogs.

* Anti-Semitic cartoons found - and seemingly tolerated - on progressive blogs such as Daily Kos, MyDD, Mondoweiss, and Indymedia are mainly expressions of anti-Israelism, a more recent category of anti-Semitism than the religious and ethnic-nationalist versions.

* Traditionally the core motif of anti-Semitism is that Jews represent absolute evil. The cultural notion of what that means has changed over the centuries. Nowadays absolute evil is often expressed as Jews or Israelis being Nazis. Indeed, the cartoon motif most frequently appearing on the progressive blogs is imagery equating Israel with Nazi Germany. Others reflect Jewish conspiracies, Zionists controlling the world, the blood libel, or show Jews as animals.

* Most of the progressive blogs discussed, containing such anti-Semitic imagery cited in this essay, generally fail to remove such hateful cartoons, despite blog policies expressly prohibiting posts that contain "hateful" or "inflammatory" content.

Cartoons have to express ideas in an easy-to-understand way. Therefore they are often accessible even to people who cannot read. Cartoons are also an efficient way to transmit hate and prejudices, including anti-Semitism. Anti-Semitism in cartoons has been investigated, among others, by the Belgian political scientist Jöel Kotek in his book Cartoons and Extremism.

The largest output of anti-Semitic cartoons nowadays comes from the Arab and Muslim world. Outside it one also finds a significant number of anti-Semitic cartoons in many countries. In Europe, for instance, over the past decade such imagery has been particularly strong in countries such as Norway and Greece.

A yet uncharted field of hate cartoons against Jews is that in progressive blogs. They are mainly expressions of anti-Israelism, a more recent category of anti-Semitism than the religious and ethnic-nationalist versions. Traditionally the core motif of anti-Semitism is that Jews represent absolute evil. The cultural notion of what that means has changed over the centuries. In current times absolute evil is often expressed as Jews or Israelis being Nazis. This charge is usually identified with the virulent anti-Semitic cartoons on right-wing extremist sites and in Arab media. This motif, however, is also the main one found in anti-Semitic cartoons on progressive blogs.

Also the three major submotifs of anti-Semitism are expressed in cartoons on progressive blogs. The first one is that Jews lust for power. In progressive blogs this is manifested mainly as caricatures on Jewish conspiracies and Zionists controlling the world. The second major anti-Semitic submotif is that Jews lust for blood, and progressive blogs include cartoons accusing Jews of infanticide. The third anti-Semitic submotif, namely, that Jews are inferior beings, is expressed on these blogs in cartoons showing Jews as animals.

The cartoonist most frequently appearing on the progressive blogs analyzed here is Carlos Latuff. He is an extreme left-wing political activist who won second place in the notorious Iranian Holocaust Cartoon Competition. Latuff is one of the more prolific anti-Semitic cartoonists on the web, with a staggering amount of work dedicated to advancing explicitly anti-Semitic political imagery.

Israel as a Nazi State
The U.S. State Department's2008 report on "Contemporary Global Anti-Semitism" asserts regarding the new anti-Semitism:

Comparing contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis is increasingly commonplace. Anti-Semitism couched as criticism of Zionism or Israel often escapes condemnation since it can be more subtle than traditional forms of anti-Semitism...those criticiz ing Israel have a responsibility to consider the effect their actions may have in prompting hatred of Jews. At times hostility toward Israel has translated into physical violence directed at Jews in gener al.

The European Union Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia presents a similar definition.

The 2009 report on anti-Semitism by the Stephen Roth Institute noted that anti-Semitic attacks on Jews worldwide doubled from the previous year. The study also points out that extreme anti-Israel sentiments, such as equating Israel with Nazi Germany, are often the catalyst for such attacks. As the report observes, "The dramatic increase in anti-Semitic manifestations in West European countries was influenced considerably by the virulently anti-Israel discourse and propaganda that portrayed Israel as a Nazi state and consequently delegitimized its right to exist."

As analyzed in an interview with Kotek in 2004, as well as by Arieh Stav in his 1999 book on anti-Semitic cartoons in the Arab world, the charge that the behavior of the Jewish state is similar to that of Nazi Germany has been a staple in the Arab media for years, used as a tool for demonizing and delegitimizing Israel. As Kotek noted, "Long before [Ariel] Sharon came to power [as prime minister], the theme of the Israeli as a Nazi was well-represented in the Arab caricature. According to it, all Zionists from Peres and Barak to Sharon are inspired by Nazi methods." As Stav pointed out, "The idea of NaZionism...was a central theme of the Soviet Press [during the Cold War] and had considerable impact on Egypt and Syria...particularly during the Lebanon War and the Intifada, as well as in the Western Press. The Arabs...are in the vanguard of this trend. The Judeo-Nazi Motif is among the central themes of Arab propaganda."

The following cartoons illustrate how the hate motif of Israel as a Nazi state appears regularly on progressive blogs. As Kotek remarks, "Cartoons [that] convey the idea that Jews behave like Nazis [would] lead readers to conclude that Israel, alone among the nations, has no right to exist. Such cartoons represent a continuation and rebirth of the malicious Zionism=Racism charge codified in 1975 - later repealed - by UN member states (Arab and Soviet bloc) who at the time were openly dedicated to Israel's destruction."

Anti-Semitism: A Worldwide Phenomenon

Anti-Semitism is the oldest form of bigotry and racism. It is certainly nothing new, and has followed Jews wherever they migrated to during the entire period of the Diaspora. Bias against Jews has always been a blight on civilizations wherever they have migrated to and prospered. Anti-Semitism is the most illogical, irrational phenomenon imaginable!

Throughout the 19th Century, and up to the end of World War I, Jews enjoyed a unique existence in Germany. Everywhere else in Europe, Jews were subjected to severe discrimination, anti-Jewish sentiments and pogroms. Nineteenth-century pogroms in Russia were famous! Death and destruction were commonly inflicted upon helpless innocent Jews. The least provocation was all that was required to cause riots, mob violence and mass murder of Jews, not only in Russia, but other European nations as well.

However anti-Semitism was at an all time low in Germany during this period. Jews had come into their own, in the fields of engineering, medicine, banking, business, and general academia. The German people knew and understood the benefits they reaped as a result of Jewish accomplishments. Jewish manufacturers hired non-Jewish labor. Jewish businessmen created wealth that benefited non-Jewish workers and their families.

Jews were prominent in the trades as well. Trade Guilds in Germany benefited from the numerous skilled machinists, metal fabricators, millwrights, foundry workers and other skilled members of the Trade Community, who happened to be Jewish. In 1914, the number of Jewish Tradesmen, possessing Meisterbriefs, or established “Trade Master” credentials, rivaled those of the Catholic or Lutheran communities. Jewish artisans were known for their skills in the design and manufacture of high-quality goods.

The defeat of the German Empire in 1918 and the subsequent collapse of the Hohenzollern Monarchy brought an end to Jewish prosperity and dominance in many fields of endeavor. The Kaiser and his government had welcomed Jews as essential human resources. Even in the German Armed Forces, recognition of the importance of Jewish service members was recognized. Accordingly, there existed two distinct oaths of enlistment. There were sufficient numbers of Jewish men serving in the Army and Navy, that a Jewish version of the oath of allegiance to the Kaiser and Empire was deemed appropriate.

The oath that Jewish recruits took was not designed to offend or discriminate. Quite the contrary, it recognized the difference between Jews and Christians, and served to unify the armed forces for a common purpose, that being the defense of the German Empire. Over a hundred thousand Jewish men served their nation in World War I. That was more than 20% of all German Jews extant.

They fought on every front, served on vessels at sea, and fought the air battles over France. Some even earned the Pour le’Merite, the highest medal Germany could bestow upon her heroes. Jews most certainly did not, as the Nazis were quick to claim, “stab Germany in the back” during World War I. The vast majority of Jews were Germans first and Jews second.

This is not to say that anti-Semitism had been eradicated during the period of the German Empire (1871-1918). Anti-Semitism abounded in university clubs and organizations, as well as political parties that existed during that time. The Catholic Church served to perpetuate anti-Semitism even in Germany, where the Catholic population was second only to the Lutherans. At the inception of the German Empire in 1871, Pius IX was the Pope extant. Among his many anti-Protestant “Bulls” and decrees, Pius IX also issued strong anti-Jewish sentiments and decrees. He declared the Jews as “Christ Killers,” and openly opined that Jews had no place in “Christian” lands. He advocated expelling Jews from Europe.

His successor was Leo XIII, who declared Jews “enemies of all Christians,” further declared that the Jews were the “source of all evil.” Leo continued to issue strong anti-Semitic statements, which were most certainly taken to heart by his millions of followers. He advocated renewing the Inquisition during his reign.

There existed in Germany, secret organizations that advocated various and sundry issues. One of the secret groups was the Thule Society. Thulists were heavy into the occult, and anti-Semitism. The Thule Society provided many of the ideas later developed and refined by the National Socialists. Nazi ideology borrowed heavily from the Thule Society.

Jews in other countries in Europe did not benefit from a benevolent Monarch, as they did in Germany. Most everywhere else in Europe, Jews were forced to live in ghettos. They were restricted from farming, owning farmland, and not allowed to participate in the trades reserved for Christians. Consequently, they were forced into work that was considered demeaning to Christians. The medical profession was actually looked down on for centuries in most European countries. Jews were allowed to become doctors for this reason. Other trades included barbering, as barbers were required to participate in the preparation of the dead for burial, this profession was considered fit for Jews. The operation of undertaking parlors, tanneries, and pawn brokerages was considered beneath the dignity of Christians, but okay for Jews. There were many other trades and professions that were relegated to the Jews, depending on what country set the rules.

That was another reason why Hitler hated the Jews. He saw them as taking away opportunities that belonged to the Aryan people.

Paris Synagogue Receives Death Threats

Synagogue in suburb famous for Jewish transit camp during WWII gets letter with swastika, bullets.

A letter containing bullets and death threats to Jews was sent to a synagogue in a northern Paris suburb, where an infamous transit camp for Jews was set up during World War II, sources said.

The letter to the synagogue in Drancy also bore a swastika, said Sammy Ghozlan, head of a national body monitoring anti-semitism.

He said the letter had been sent on August 14 and discovered on Tuesday after the summer break.

He urged authorities to "beef up security in all places of worship" ahead of the Jewish New Year next month. Ghozlan said a similar letter had been sent to a synagogue in Stains, another northern suburb, but this claim could not be verified by AFP.

Drancy was home to an internment camp set up by the collaborationist Vichy regime during World War II. About 65,000 Jews were deported from there to extermination camps.

In 1976, a memorial was set up in Drancy. Since then, the site has been desecrated at least twice with swastikas and anti-Jewish graffiti.

The Modern anti-Semitism

Anti-Semitism did not disappear with the establishment of a Jewish state, when Jews became people like others. Modern anti-Semitism does not look like the traditional version. Its line of thinking is, “The Israelis have got more than they deserve. They should stop arguing with the Arabs and be glad we gave them any state at all.” Israeli security issues are only relatively important to her allies: terrorists do not blow up Christian children in Israeli school buses. The allies are willing to help, but if treaty-based security does not work out, they lose nothing. Nothing happens to them if Israel is destroyed. Centuries ago, Israel asked for the protection of a superpower, Assyria, which soon annexed it. The same happened with Rome. Even to the extent of cooperating with Neo-Nazi organizations, the Jews must keep anti-Semitism on the surface: a controllable, but clear danger.

Adolf Eichmann

Anti Zionism = Anti Semitism

Anti-Zionism has become the most dangerous and effective form of anti- Semitism in our time, through its systematic de-legitimization, defamation, and demonetization of Israel. Although not a priory anti-Semitic, the calls to dismantle the Jewish state, whether they come from Muslims, the Left, or the radical Right, increasingly rely on an anti-Semitic stereotypization of classic themes, such as the manipulative "Jewish lobby," the Jewish/Zionist "world conspiracy," and Jewish/Israeli "warmongers."

One major driving force of this anti-Zionism/anti-Semitism is the transformation of the Palestinian cause into a "holy war"; another source is anti-Americanism linked with fundamentalist Islamism. In the current context, classic conspiracy theories, such as the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, are enjoying a spectacular revival.

The common denominator of the new anti-Zionism has been the systematic effort to criminalize Israeli and Jewish behavior, so as to place it beyond the pale of civilized and acceptable conduct.

Indeed, Israel is today the only state on the face of this planet that such a large number of disparate people wish to see disappear - itself a chilling reminder of the Nazi propaganda of the 1930s. The most virulent expressions of this "exterminationist" or genocidal anti-Zionism have come from the Arab-Muslim world, which is the historical heir of the earlier 20th-century forms of totalitarian anti-Semitism in Hitler's Germany and the Soviet Union.

Even "moderate" Muslim statesmen such as Mahathir Mohammad have publicly repeated the classic anti-Semitic belief that "Jews rule the world" while eliciting virtually no objections in the Islamic world.

The more radical Islamists from Al-Qaida to the Palestinian Hamas go much further since they fuse indiscriminate terror, suicide bombings, and a Protocols of Zion style of anti-Semitism with the ideology of jihad. In this case, the so called "war against Zionism" unmistakably embraces the total demonization of the "Jewish other": as the "enemy of mankind," as deadly poisonous snakes, as barbarian "Nazis" and "Holocaust manipulators" who control international finance, not to mention America, or the Western mass media, while they busily instigate wars and revolutions to achieve world domination. Such conspiracy theories sailing under "anti-Zionist" colors constitute a highly toxic, even murderous worldview that today is linked to religious fanaticism and a worldwide revolutionary agenda.

The same demonizing stereotypes can, however, be found in moderate pro-Western Egypt (home to the Protocols based anti-Semitic soap opera Rider without a Horse), secular Baathist Syria, conservative Wahhabite Saudi Arabia, and the Shiite fundamentalist Iran of the ayatollahs. This is an ideological anti-Zionism that seeks both the annihilation of Israel and a world "liberated from the Jews" - in other words, it is a totalist form of anti-Semitism.

Palestinian suffering and Arab "anti-Zionism" have helped to infect Europe with an old-new version of anti-Semitism in which Jews are rapacious, bloodsucking colonialists. The theme is that Jews were rootless, imperialist invaders who came to Palestine to conquer the land by brute force, to expel or "cleanse" it of its natives. They are the modern "Crusaders" with no legitimate rights to the soil - an alien transplant, absolutely foreign to the region.

They succeeded only because of a gigantic occult conspiracy in which the Zionists manipulated Great Britain and subsequently America. This is a typically anti-Semitic narrative of which Hitler might have approved - widely believed around the world, even credited by millions of educated people in the West.

The popularity of the Protocols today is the one telling symptom of the growing merger between anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism. Zionism is increasingly depicted in some mainstream media as being "criminal" in its essence as well as its behavior.

The Yellow Star of David

The oldest reference to using mandatory articles of Yellow Star on clothing to identify and distinguish Jews from the rest of society was in 807 CE. In this year, Abbassid caliph Haroun al-Raschid ordered all Jews to wear a yellow belt and a tall, cone-like hat.

The first reference to a Jewish badge during the Nazi era was made by the German Zionist leader, Robert Weltsch. During the Nazi declared boycott upon Jewish stores on April 1, 1933, yellow Stars of David were painted on windows. In reaction to this, Weltsch wrote an article entitled "Tragt ihn mit Stolz, den gelben Fleck" ("Wear the Yellow Badge with Pride") which was published on April 4, 1933. At this time, Jewish badges had yet even to be discussed among the top Nazis.

Reinhard Heydrich recommended that the Jews be forced to wear badges following the Kristallnacht pogrom in November 1938. The German government first introduced mandatory badges in Poland in November 1939. Jews who failed to wear them risked death. On July 26, 1941, the Judenrat (Jewish Community Council) of Bialystok announced that "the authorities have warned that severe punishment — up to, and including death by shooting — is in store for Jews who do not wear the yellow badge on back and front."

The German government's policy of forcing Jews to wear badges, and then confining all who wore them to ghettos, was a tactic aimed at isolating the Jews from the rest of the population. It enabled the German government to identify, concentrate, deprive, starve, and ultimately murder the Jews of Europe under its control. In 1942, Helmut Knochen, the German government's chief of the Security Service and the Security Police for occupied France and Belgium, stated that the yellow badge was "another step on the road to the Final Solution."

This policy was a part of what the Germans euphemistically called the "Special Treatment" of the Jews. Under this "Special Treatment," the Jews also endured:

1) A consistent propaganda campaign labeling them as the embodiment of evil and the misfortune of German society.

2) The revoking of all their rights of citizenship.

3) The confiscation of their property and businesses.

4) Their removal from jobs, schools, professions, and all social and professional intercourse with the rest of society.

These measures culminated in the Final Solution:

1) Mass murder in various localities under German control.

2) Deportation of all remaining Jews to concentration and death camps.

3) Death in gas chambers built especially for the Jews.

Holocaust Denial

General Eisenhower feared "A Holohoax"

It is a matter of history that when the Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces, General Dwight Eisenhower, found the victims of the death camps he ordered all possible photographs to be taken, and for the German people from surrounding villages to be ushered through the camps and even made to bury the dead.

He did this because he said in words to this effect:
'Get it all on record now - get the films - get the witnesses -because somewhere down the road of history someone will get up and say that this never happened'

There has been in the UK a debate about removing the Holocaust from its school curriculum because it 'offends' the Muslim population which claims it never occurred. It is not removed as yet.. However, this is a frightening portent of the fear that is gripping the world and how easily each country is giving into it.

It is now more than 60 years after the Second World War in Europe ended.
